The past presidents of OSEA believed retirement does not have to mean the end of the benefits of union membership. They envisioned a group that would provide retirees with the opportunities to remain active while utilizing their talents and expertise to support OSEA and the broader labor movement.

ROSE is committed to fulfilling this vision. Through the years, ROSE members have mobilized to assist OSEA in various campaigns and help fight back efforts to cut Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) benefits. Together with our national affiliates, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and Alliance for Retired Americans (ARA), ROSE members have worked hard to help protect retiree benefits such as Medicare and Social Security.

Member access to resources does not end at retirement. Membership in ROSE allows you access to many of the same valuable benefits you had as an active OSEA member. Union Plus, a national union benefits site, contains a huge variety of benefits that are only accessible to union members.
